sleepA Poem by Periac
comforted next to the bed frame
still and staring my little fuzzy ferocious bear when I saw you I had to hold you I wanted to spin summer sonnets in twirling grins I wanted to walk hand in plush paw feeling the soft touch you seep between my hands for as you laid there displayed as a warrior thick in the head hardened by beaten worn armor that which easily hid your fear underneath I held you to me as child does blanket supported lightly but in protection as we laid my sweet painted ferocious bear the words of an old seamstress echoed onto the brow you bent I brushed your little fuzzy face to see again those eyes me under a simple existence held fierce the treasure hunters shovel prepared to break the ground of black sewn x's me in typical tantrum resistance stomped weakened chicken legs at the onset of your waterfall your mine now I remind the ferocious little bear to have and to hold to spin and to sin with I'd learn the refined art of sewing if it meant to see those gems again to sew the smile from ear to ear that we deserve © 2017 PeriacReviews
