A Bottle of Poison

A Bottle of Poison

A Poem by N.Sevilla

A desperate cry.

A tearing need.

Fumbling with the

refrigerator door.

A blast of cold air.

Cool on the sweaty

brow of a desperate

man. The poison

filled crate, there,

gleaming in its sickly

color. The clinking

of glass. A deathly smell

wafting from the living room.

Trudging to the quiet-filled room,

a wife with sleepy eyes enters to

find a husband on the couch with

red distant eyes and a poison bottle

in his clenched fist. Those eyes dart

to see the woman. The stench of his

breath clouds his eyes and he does not

see his wife, only a scapegoat. With

a roar he stands and advances towards

the fragile love of his life. The smooth

glass bottle, thick and hard, soon

reduced to broken shards and

poisonous jagged edges.

a lot of good creativity displayed in this piece.. its curious in its content and viral in its effect.. the imagery is constructive, both visually in the words and in the 'bottle structure' that you display.. The molding of the bottle could use some work, but if the size of the words dont allow then its okay because it already seems like a unique bottle form.. the effect is very much, already there.. good idea here..
