Finding Faith

Finding Faith

A Poem by Picture of Poetry
"

Even though the time may seem bad, tri to catch faith and keep it in your grasp."

"

Fear is a lonley orphan

drowning in lost thoughts.

A whirlpool of misery

swims in their brain.

Fear swallows them;

engulfs their every memory;

leaves them stranded and alone.

They reach out,

to feel love, and they

come back wih empty hands.

Fear keps them from getting it.

Fear clouds their mind

with questions that have no answers.

Fear is knowing that

no home needs you.

Knowing that no arms want to cradle and carry you,

but faith will carry you.

Faith will be the fickle light in the dark.

Faith will be that happy tear

smiling as it runs down their face.

Faith helps them find a home.

Faith lifts them above all the shame

that they have fallen into;

all of the rubble from their broken dreams

that the demons have over run.

Faith starts them on a path

to a new life and home.

A path full of love and care.

Faith shows them that they matter,

and that someone out their

cares about them.

Faith is their key to a new world;

the finger that points the way.

This is really great. Wonderful use of language & the lines "Fear is knowing that / no home needs you." are really powerful. o= I also enjoyed the *almost* rhyme of "misery" and "memory". I'm sure that was unintentional & when I looked back on it... it didn't really rhyme, but for some reason when I read it, it rhymed in my head. XD So great job with that! ^__^ I wish I could recommend a better title, but I fail at titles. Intensely. Gomen. XD
