Like Water

Like Water

A Poem by p.kuhl
"

she wears a smile and a dress

"
Could she be so fluid?
She left me there with glazed eyes,
trying to pretend I wasn't staring
at her as she danced as though the devil
himself dared her to
She must have no bones
to move like that,
to teeter on her toes like
the stack of furniture in cat in the hat
a dangerous tilt as her head
spins and spins and catches
my eyes on every third turn
with a stare that tells me she
isn't even moving.
