Feel You Fading

Feel You Fading

A Poem by Clarisse Nanoit
"

I'm pretty sure this is my first one with a rhyme scheme in a while. :)

"

You've started becoming distant;

you don't call as much at all.

These are early warnings,

the writing on the wall.

I tell myself I am a fool

for letting me fall for you

when everything was so complicated,

when this was all brand new.

Since then, I've had plenty of signs;

your vices rule your life.

The spirits seem your masters.

I hate your bloodshot eyes.

You promise that you love me,

but I see no evidence.

Still, I cannot say these things,

and I fall satiated again.

I know I'll always love you,

even when you quit calling,

and despite the way you treat yourself,

I'll probably continue stalling.

But if I'm being honest,

you can't overcome your curse.

This is probably for the better,

'cause you're changing for the worst.
