Wrong NumberA Poem by KristineShe told the boy but it was as if he didn't care. He acted as if she wasn't even there.
All she wanted was for them to be together, but just for once, didn't want to wait forever.
The boy eventually laughed in her face and he had the guts to tell her she was a disgrace.
The girl ran home and stayed out of sight, for she realized he wasn't the boy she was with the other night.
Something was different and she didn't know why but whatever it was, really made her cry.
It was one of the best nights she'd had in a while but to him she was just another number he could dial. © 2008 Kristine |
