Heart and mind

Heart and mind

A Poem by Pranab Bagartti
"

She has gone far away. He is waiting.

"
He tumbled in his bed
Unable to sleep
Like wind blowing
Those dry leafs
He felt the aroma
Of that day's grasses
And the rustling of sheets
In that day's classes
He smiled
Feeling her next to him
His feelings now
Flowing over the brim
Suddenly he wakes up
And he's alone
He lay in the darkness of the room
All those happiness gone
It's just a dream
He consolidate himself
And in his heart
An emptiness dwell
He tries to sleep again
But he can't
At the middle of the night
His prodigal heart rant
Putting forward
Its dreams and desires
Which were burnt like stray woods
In random bonfires
His heart speaks of hope
His mind says it's illusion
Both starts to quarrel again
And he wish a conclusion
Meanwhile  he takes a break
And think about her smile
And the unwary time decides
To stop for a while
He smile, enjoying the lie
Before the sun rise with its rays of truth
He is sometimes the baby
Who looks at its broken milk tooth
But no, there won't be another
There can't be another like her
He is waiting and wait for her
Maybe, till he turns into a star
