An affair!

An affair!

A Poem by PP

She is a flickering little star,
in the vast ocean of a starry night sky.
She lays amidst magnificence of the entire universe
So many shiny marvels of delight
So many pleasurable sights.
As she sleeps, wrapped around the arms of the night
O heaven, she has no reason to sigh
There is no reason why;
She should cry
There is no reason why she should hide.

Is she happy as she shines cuddled up in the night sky?
Is she content that everything around her is heavenly?
Does she love her romance with the dark night? Or
Has she fallen in love with the morning sky?
Is night her lover, for who she splatters her glow,
Or does she prefer to fade away
As she hugs the brighness of the morning sky; her unsolicited lover.

At nights she is not alone but she is lonely
She eagerly longs for the day
When all that glitters around her fades away
She kisses the clear blue sky.

SEEMS THE QUESTIONS HERE ARE AMIDST IN THE LINES...AS I READ THOSE QUESTIONS PLAY IN MY MIND...WHAT SHE WANTS IS NOT THERE AND YET THE EMPTINESS IS NOT SO EMPTY...SHE HAS AN AFFAIR WITH THE ESSENCE OF IT ALL...IN THE OPENNESS FOR EVERYONE TO SEE HER...SINCE THERE IS NO ONE LOOKING...OF WHAT SHE WANTS IN REALITY...
