Humble Poetic Beginnings!

Humble Poetic Beginnings!

A Poem by PP
"

How it all began!

"
I am bit of a poet, I have just realized..
To myself I then apologized..
They say its poetry when emotions reveal
But I must say emotions are out there
They are always  hard to conceal..

All I need now is a bit of calm repose
with no oppose, from the world around; I suppose..

Myself to Me,
I want to do nothing,
I want to think about no-one,
don't want to think about my stupidest errors,
Don't want to get bothered by what people say..
Or by how they look at me!

It takes a great deal of effort to mature..
And to be just Yourself..
To cut chords from the society
It is almost impossible
But they again say impossible is nothing..
To me nothing is something..

All I want is some amount of Nothing in myself,
A bit of emptiness..and some void..
Cos amidst Everything, amidst Everyone..
We miss out on the Nothing and on that No-one..We miss out on our-selves..

A moment out just for the soul.. that's all:)

Found this piece hidden somewhere from ages ago. One of my first poems I guess written in my teens. Not my best I would say. Its very immature. Please feel free to offer your critique..

i don't necessarily think it is immature at all...but what disappointed me a bit was you went from such clever rhyme scheme and tongue-in-cheek alliteration to abandoning that completely...

i felt a bit of an "emptiness, a void"

but yes, we must take care of ourselves, and at times we forget to do that.

Perhaps you were more mature than you thought, there are some quite deep thoughts here, the knowing that 'We miss out on the Nothing and on that No-one.. We miss out on our-selves.. A moment out just for the soul.. that's all:' It's the standing outside and looking in that counts whether or not there's a specific at the end of the close examination; too many people are blind to who and what they are!
