How?

How?

A Poem by Pete

Image result for hands holding heart

How do I accept the unacceptable?
Oh please, what do I do?
How do I see the imperceptible?
Show me God, how to find you.

The pain, you know, is simply too much.
I have to know why.
My soul is broken and needs a crutch.
Now, all I do is cry.

The answer must be out there somewhere, in heaven above.
I hear a voice out of the darkness.
It softly whispers - LOVE.

'How?'
Pete,
I like the two words, unacceptable and imperceptible- used in your lines #1 and #3, for they give the clue which causes the human soul to take notice of it's condition. When their is pain or heartache or anything which we just don't get we cry out and are lost. We then reach out. It happens all the time. Difficulties do not go away but The Lord Jesus Christ is immovable and is the perfect rock on which we may build out lives. Our hearts need help. We need healing and strength for we are broken. Conversion is another word for restoration. I run to the Lord regularly as the little lost lamb I sometimes am but I know who holds this heart. Great thought provoking wonderful poem!

Kathy

Love conquers all, so it is said. The most powerful of all emotions. Beautifully worded poetry Pete. Thanks for sharing.

This is a crisp and extra ordinary piece. I really appreciate the way you incorporated different aspects like despair, search for truth and of course the solution for all the agony, Love, in this poem. And I like your insight about Love that I read in the review comments. Of course that is the greatest binding force in the Universe. Thank you for sharing it.

In the end forgiveness and love is the answer.

Love in your heart and a smile upon your face.
