It is Time

It is time ...
For views to broaden.
To help the downtrodden.
To stick up for the weak no matter how ignored.
To play what's right and flip the checker board.
To give respect.
To serve and protect.
For spirits to rise no matter the price.
To take a chance and roll the dice.
To cast aspersions aside.
For eyes to open wide.

It is time ...
For stigmas to end.
To make a new friend.
To let the past go.
To play in the snow.
To end this pain.
To dance in the rain.
To rule like Aphrodite.
To stand with the Almighty.

It is time ...
To be honest.
To receive what's promised.
To sprout bold wings and leave the cocoon.
To step into now and fly to the moon.
To dream again and take the deep plunge.
To soak up truth like a dry sea sponge.
To sing heaven's hymn.
To go out on a limb.
To wield the pen.
To love again.
Yes, ...
... it is time ...
