He Is

God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

The tall grass needs no hero to stand up and wave.
Requires no laws for which to behave.
Rivers need no permit to empty into the sea.
They do it for you and they do it for me.
Autumn leaves twirl a colorful ballet in the breeze.
They grant us this bold sight, without a 'thank you' or 'please'.
Trees need no orders as they bravely stand guard.
They shade not for money or plastic charge-card.
Eagles need no clearance to take-off and land.
They brandish no logo or ownership brand.
Mountains need no permission to reach up to the sky.
Require no instruction; no how-to or why.

Birds sing their sweet song without a request.
In quiet of morning is when 'tis best.
Sun and moon need no mirror to reflect 'pon the ocean.
They caress and soothe like a warm, soulful lotion.
Bees need no cart to peddle their sweet confection.
They gather and feed with the utmost affection.
They labor for hours, visiting bright flowers.
They do it no matter, using high powers.
Stars wait for the dark, then bow and shine.
The sky is their stage, the night their shrine.
He crafts each fine snowflake and garbs them in pure white.
Spoke world to existence saying, "Let there be light."
Comes and goes as the morning dove.
Lives and forgives, breathing out love.
Spirits sail and are his, simply because ...
... he is ...

"He is"
Pete,
All things are because "He is." The song above reminded of how we are made to sail and experience many different emotions and discoveries in this life. Every part of this wide expansive beyond understanding world beyond worlds and galaxies is just too great, majestic, amazing, mind boggling. Design within design and full of cluess for those whom desire to find Jesus is still "the way and the truth.
Blessings, and great job!

Hi Pete,
You point out all the wonderful & miraculous things we have been given and we as humans so casually violate and destroy without a thought, for selfish gains. Your words flow like a river of love, that may stir a passion and wake up our primitive condition before we are left standing on a barren tundra!
Poignant and moving words!

yes. let us remember and be thankful & respectful. thank you Hebe for sharing your thoughts. :)
This is so brilliant in all the ways I love to read something poetic! I love rhyme & you've done it so artfully. I love nature & you've snapped a ton of pictures to show this graceful multi-faceted gift. I can feel the loving heart & affectionate nature that's embedded in these observations. And last but not least, I consider the outdoors to be my cathedral, so I'm enthralled by the way you've presented all these brilliant signs of Godliness in a way that suggests we humans could also try to be more like this, in a way that's not enforced or required, but just becuz it's the right thing to do. Our world is sorely lacking spiritual inspiration & your message is banging it out like an anthem! (((HUGS))) fondly, Margie

I have great respect for you Pete. You have devotion to a religion you love. That is a very admirable trait.

When you write what you love, the words paint the great picture. An art that I envy, yet, gleefully spectate.

May your faith always keep you strong and your creativity bright. Enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing.
