Medicine Man

Medicine Man

A Poem by Pete

"The finest qualities of our nature, like the bloom on fruits, can be preserved only by the most delicate handling. Yet we do not treat ourselves nor one another thus tenderly." - Thoreau

Image result for sarsaparilla

Legs shackled.
Emotions spackled.
Wrist held by indignant handcuff.
Lost in a game of blind man's bluff.
Sweet, supple Lady Gardenia.
Heal me.
Don't plague me with delirious bubonic.
Spritz me with your supersonic tonic.

Washed ashore.
Not knowing where.
Doesn't matter.
We are there.
In holistic heaven.
Deserted isle.
Abandoned villa.
Drench me with your sarsaparilla ...
