Love Forever and Always

Love Forever and Always

A Poem by LynLee

Love Forever and Always

So many secrets have come out.

You know me so well now,

and I know you well too.

But your still so scared,

I am too.

But we can't be scared forever.

We must embrace our Love,

Forever and Always.

We talk for hours upon hours.

Never changing the subject.

We think of what we would be like,

and you keep saying you cna't,

that you would just screw it up.

But I tell you, you could never do that.

Not with me.

You say in the past it was always your fault,

but it wasn't.

Even if it was, you'd start a new slate with me.

The conversation keeps going.

We talk more and more intently,

then suddenly you tell me something I've wanted to hear for two years.

"I think I love you."

I cry.

Tears come down my face.

No one knows but you.

"I think I'm falling in love with you too."

But I know that's a lie.

I'm already in love,

Always and Forever, I'll love you.

But you havn't replied.

I grow frantic.

I'm getting scared.

What did I do?

Have I scared you off?

Was this some sort of joke?

What happened?

Finally you answer,

but don't at the same time.

You act as if nothing happened between us,

as if nothing ever will.

This breaks my heart more than anything.

And I don't know how I'll be able to cope this time.

But my Love for you will be Forever and Always.

Author's Note

This is seriously, and literally what has just happened to me, and we talked about how we coped with the troubles in our lives and how some of them were bad, so that's why the coping part is in there.
