You are

The hand that saves me

As water fills my lungs

As I slip beneath the waves

Of depression, despair

And uncertainty. 

You are 

The hand that holds me back

From all the bad

But pushes me forward

To become the best person I can be.

You are

The laughter that fills my day

The only light 

Of a dismal Monday morning.

You are 

My heartbeat

Thudding in my chest

Very much alive.

You are 

The voice that whispers in my ear

Telling me

"Put down that razor.

I love you.

Live one more day."

I am meant to be held by you

My lips are made to be kissed by yours

My eyes had not seen

Anything half so astounding

As when

They saw you.

I love you,

I know you.

Can't you see, baby, we're meant to be

Under our sorrow, away from our pain

Together we shall be free

Always, together we shall be.

Go, come, let us leave

Away from all we know.

Into my window, come on, slide

Now we can run away, run away, run away.
