tiny bag of happiness

tiny bag of happiness

A Poem by rachel ann

It's November now
this time last year you were at football games
or at parties making a fool out of yourself
month from now last year things slip
you get ahold of your worst enemy
you get handed a bag full of happiness
friends fade
your money is leaving quicky
your bag is getting empty
your mind is blank
you sit alone
two months ago you were at games
now youre being discharged
the nurses wish you good luck

The ending left me with need of more story. Money is gone and you are being discharged from the hospital. Many kind of bags of happiness. I told my kids. Use time and resources wisely. Thank you for sharing the thoughts provoking poetry.

That's how I felt too. Not complaining, it was great. Would love to read a part 2?

to the point of the downfall that comes with addiction...too too many I've known fallen from grace...I really like the blunt honesty here, very good write.

This has a great pace. Short phrases that hit the reader like darts until he/she gets the point.

It only really goes by quickly in hindsight, right?
