A Kid's world

A Kid's world

A Poem by Ella
"

The most frequently asked and entertaining questions asked by children as they learn to discover more about the world and themselves.

"

What makes the world go round?

Why is light faster than sound?

Why is it dark at night?

When was the first ever flight?

                                                                           What’s he doing?

                                                                                      What are ruins?

                                                                      Why do we blink?

                                                       Why do we drink?

                                        Where is Cairo?

                                       Oh please can we go?

Why does an egg have a yolk?

               Why do frogs always croak?

                               Why do angels have wings?

                                            Why do bees always sting?

How do birds manage to fly?

How many stars are there in the sky?

                                                                                         What star sign am I?

Why is the sky blue in the day?

Why is there a month called May?

Who is the oldest person in the world?

Why do lollipops have so many swirls?

Why do we have to sleep?

                                              Why do people count sheep?

                         What’s a brain freeze?

 Why do we sneeze?

                Where is Chiswick?

                          Oh please can we visit?

                                              Why do we die?

                                                        What makes us cry?

                                                                 What is a fiction book?

Why does the captain have a hook?

                                         What does the Queen do?

                   Why do cows always moo?

How do they make cartoons?

Ella
I know it's childish and doesn't really have a flare for complex words but it was on impulse I wrote it.

That's just great! It captures the imagination of a child very well indeed. Some of the questions are great. It mixes up the trivial (why do lollipops have so many swirls) with the extremely complex (why is light faster than sound). Very clever indeed. Loved it.
