Leafless Tree

Like a leafless tree in a still wind

My heart is empty, never feel love again

She broke my heart to pieces without a word

I spoke of love to her but it went unheard

If she had noticed would it be different now?

Could she have loved someone like me somehow?

Unpleasant to the eyes and unsteady in the brain

I would still have been her umbrella in the rain

She did not understand the way I felt inside

When she went away all I use to be just died

I offered my love to her, to it she was blind

She went away when another she did find

A cold wind blows through a leafless tree

Standing broken all alone just like me
