The dark exposed love

The dark exposed love

A Poem by ron

The dark exposed love

Sitting in the dark, forever now.

The sun has set hours ago.

You walk in quiet as a mouse thinking I’m asleep in our bed.

I smell him on you, his scent lingering softly.

Did you think I would not find out one day?

Or was it your hope that I did.

You see me in the shadows.

Tears fill my eyes with the thought of another’s touch on your skin.

My head hung low as you tentatively approach.

You fall to your knees at my feet taking my limp hand in yours.

Pressing it to your face, my fingers spread to feel your lips.

You snuggle you head between my legs hoping to get me to love you once again.

I never stopped loving you and that’s what pulls my heart apart.

I moan softly pretending it’s going to be ok.

But I know that you will walk out the door to visit him once again.

I’m chained to your love because no one else will have me.

I quietly sit in the dark forever.
