Heart of Stone

Heart of Stone

A Poem by Cadence Killday

Burning all my blood stained shirts

From where you wanted me to hurt

Do you have a heart of dirt?

I stared down at the bloody gash

from where my head was banged and bashed

Do you have a heart of trash?

Dark deep melodies begin to drone

Out from your heart and to my bones

Do you have a heart of stone?

This is a very strong and dark poem.I like it. The constant question asking keeps the reader entertained and helps them get a feel of who the person saying these things is. Great job and thanks for submitting.

I like how you ended each stanza with a question. I can feel the passion in this.
