And so it is as we bid adieu the old and ring in the new - each year we hope for change, or luck, or loss; all greeted with fireworks and expectations of only that which we wish for!!

That would be a wonderful way to start the new year, all fresh and ready to begin again. I love how much the word 'auspicious' says for it, and just in that word it can sum up the whole thing.

This is a really nice piece. I remember a feeling of anticipation for each new year to begin in hopes that it would be better than the last. This year however I was very indifferent. Must be because I figured out that the new year is just different days with a different problems. Now I sound pessimistic. Oh, well...
