a soft moment

a soft moment

A Poem by Kara Emily Krantz

It is a soft moment,
where the light alludes the darkness,
and rainbows dance
upon the pale green carpet
that feels so sweet
to feet
that have frolicked fearlessly through clovers
and spun in circles on the rain-trodden grass.

For a moment
she had been free.
The wind had ravished
her body—

CHORUS:

She had been made
pure again.
Perhaps she may never again feel
The delirious abandonment
that she felt
In those few moments
When she danced.

for always will she treasure
the soft moments in her life,
Where the music is allowed
a second chance.

REPEAT CHORUS

Kara my sparkling diamond what soft and uplifting piece of art you have wrote hear... just like how music can take us away into another world that frees us from our pain momentarily so does your writing... music is a big part of my life and not just from being a former musician but i listen to different things to depending on my mood and it helps balance my world... and the way you describe it is like a sweet symphony to soul.

I almost forgot how amazing of a writer you are but I was wanting to read something really good and stumbled across this and you reminded me real fast why I love your work. It is always inspiring and so image driven describing a new world for me to witness through your words and eyes.

I hope you return to writing soon. I always love read your words.

Peace be with you on the journey of life.

Well, this is superb. And I have read a lot of your work that is. But this is angelic. The last lines are teleporting my heart to bliss. This is something that Dickinson would write or Bronte'. I am adding to my favorites.

This is great in the way it describes the memories of a carefree life, yet hints at the suffering she has since endured. And I love the last verse:

"Yet always will she treasure
The soft moments in her life,
When the music is allowed
A second chance."
