Kefka

Kefka

A Poem by Shannon Carinne Sparks
"

About a playboy I know who thinks he can have anyone and is very good at it.

"
A man.
A demon.
A monster.
With sugar coated words,
He teases the not so innocent
Bar butterflies,
Who glitter in the night.
Almost indescriminate,
He scavages,
Like a voyeuristic vulture,
For freshly trodden meat.
He looks for a new delicacy,
Hopefully less boring than the last.
He knows how,
To taint the minds of-
Even the strong.
He is a worthy apponent;
Though, he will not win-
This game tonight.

I really dug this. Short, to the point, and I could totally see a leach of a guy who views women as nothing more than prey. And you could almost sense the narrator as a woman who's fighting with every ounce of her will to not fall for this guy's advances. Good poem. And thanks for refering me here!!!
