Unicorn Visions

A Poem by Silvia - Scribo, Ergo Sum!

I look at my reflection in the stillness of the pool.
Amazed
And feeling ... unbalanced ...
A horn?
I close my eyes.
Oh, this is just a dream, I´m sure...

But when I close my eyes,
I feel,
I feel the power of that horn
It runs through me like a current
Strong and powerful ....

I see the Ages,
I see eternity - what was, was is, what is to be.
The Age
of Gold - when there was naught but peace and light,
of Silver - when humankind lost paradise and immortality,
of Bronze - when myth and legend faded fast,
and of Lead, of now,
when man is hellbent on his own destruction ...

This is the time,
when all is ended ... or when all begins anew ...

But they, oh, they don´t see it!
Don´t see that time is running short ...

There could be help;
There is a way ....
To find it, though,
this modern man must once again believe in mystery and wonder,
must once again believe in - Me.
Must once again BELIEVE ....

The Unicorn ,
speaking to Silvia in the Age of Lead

The History of the Unicorn
from their point of view

The Age of Gold The Age of Silver The Age of Bronze The Age of Lead
Unicorn Time isn't like our Time. It isn't precisely linear.
The Unicorns speak of the Four Great Ages: chapters of their history, and yet they are not Ages as we would define them: they are worlds, dimensions of their own. The Unicorns travel freely between all four. Unicorn time is spherical, with the Gold Age a glorious, timeless dawn to which they can always return. Here then, is the source of the Unicorns' immortality, for what hold can Time have on a creature so skilled in traversing it?

The Age of Gold The Age of Gold
The Age of Silver The Age of Silver
The Age of Bronze The Age of Bronze
The Age of Lead The Age of Lead

What a beautiful poem a magical read. The picture is beautiful but why the black around the font? And why such a small font? I don't think they do your poem justice.

I really enjoyed reading the history of the unicorn through the different ages. Wouldn't it be nice to return to a world of magic and unicorns?
