Twilight

Twilight

A Poem by slfisher89

It's funny
No, not funny ha ha.
But funny strange-mind blogging-perplexing
Yet, alluring
That a thing such as time
No not thing- concept perhaps
Formless as air
Endless as desert sand
Morphs in one's life from a
Turtle-like clock hand reaching 3
To a car stuck on drive on a highway
Like that
The cat in the hat asks" how did it get late so soon?"

A lovely bit of work that radiates insight.
(May refer to an unspecified tragedy involving someone known to the poet.)
In any event, "Twilight" is a smart and stunning poem worthy of much wider attention.
