He wrapped his arms around her

a beautiful embrace

head to shoulder

face next to face

The ocean unfurled before them

A sea of gems sparkling without end

She was the one

his one

As close to his heart as his own skin

She was his smile his grin

She was the rest of his life

His everything

She was his wife

He had fought for her

He had fought her

He would fight and fight for her

He had loved her through it all

And loved her more for it all

for he would give her all

She was his wife

And so they stood on the edge of the shore

satisfied without needing more

Husband and wife

One flesh one life

I am really impressed to see a nice rhyming rhythmical poem! Not much of a poet myself, but I can definitely say that you as an author point out the ideas of marriage and care for one another. Very wise usage of poetic devices. Great style. Pleasure to read.
I like this one the most "A sea of gems sparkling without end / She was the one / his one" I believe that this is the line that shows dedication and a bond between the partners.
