The Hymns of Salem

The Hymns of Salem

A Poem by Stephanie M
"

This is a poem I wrote about the women of Salem who were tortured needlessly during the Salem Witch Trials.

"

I fell from grace

even before time was made

When the world was still

young and there was no sin

I was put on public display

Just another product of

the Inquisition

A chilling reminder of the days of the Salem Witch Trials.
Sad that most were innocent and that most of the accusers were secretly witches and warlocks themselves.
A dark time in the history of the world.
Short and directly to the point.
I liked it.
