Of where the future lies, only you shall know. Yet, disclose it amongst our souls.

Of where the future lies, only you shall know. Yet, disclose it amongst our souls.

A Poem by Steve Downen

Of what are your thoughts made,
Do you wonder? So do I.
Their origin eludes me--
Walk by and bye.

Stand at the crossroads and wonder
Dear one, wonder where to go from here.
Forward, press on toward yonder
And find why you will disappear.

Remain a shadow until you please,
But visit in a while
Know that when you feel the breeze
The air has touched my smile.

As I will reminisce the times
I pray you venture on
Sing a song and with it rhyme
Of love and life of long.

The life you will live hereafter
Should you begin your stroll
Shan't always circumvent your mind
And evade your invaded soul.

Beware of life's curiosities,
I'm certain you will dare
To understand the limited variety
Of every thing and every where.

Exhilaration you shall find
In the furthest place close to your mind,
But shall not find it lest you dare
To turn the light with care and submit blind.
