Just Like Portland Sunshine

Just Like Portland Sunshine

A Poem by Steven Fleissner
"

Acoustic Song

"
Grabbed a bottle of wine
Portland Sunshine
He took a drink and sighed and wondered why
Smiled up at the sky
He will never deny

All the things they thought that mattered
Feelin' pain and egos flattered
Knew in nothin' flat it'd never be
But I'm better than when she found me
Still better than when you found me

She wrote a long long list of ways she done him wrong
Aint no reason big enough to maybe get along
Says she's gonna be fine
Like Portland Sunshine

All the things they thought that mattered
Feelin' pain and egos flattered
Knew in nothin' flat it'd never be
But I'm better than when he found me
Still better than when you found me

They need to be right when nothin's wrong
Chasin' after style and headline
Someday they're gonna be fine
Like Portland Sunshine

All the things they thought that mattered
Feelin' pain and egos flattered
Knew in nothin' flat it'd never be
But I'm better than when you found me
Still better than when you found me...
