Crazed Eyes

Crazed Eyes

A Poem by Joanna Maharis
"

Crazed eyes dance in the gloom of my wake.

"
Crazed eyes dance in the gloom of my wake.
I thirst for the life giving spirit to
offer me redemption of my golden seed.
Red rivers chant in wising breaths,
and the driven rage within the lion
roars into black smoke that cakes
my crisp flesh with your gingered ashes.
For these are the symbols of the warlords
who grazed their blades against the earth's
anguished body.
My rings are forlorn into the darkness
that burns in the feverish sky,
But my saintly tears shall remain with you
when the winter sets in and surmises
the fountains colic.

Some very cryptic images that bring some dark depths of emotions... wickedly intense.
