Introspective Journey, All Aboard!


The leaves are sweet upon the breeze, the clouds are oh, sublime,

So , why do I babble incessantly, in search of another rhyme

Could it be I just can't handle seeing things so out of sorts,

Or is it just that I've fallen in love, with my own retorts?

The journey deep within my self, can be a lonely place,

But it's there I find my inner peace, that fills me with such grace.

So if you see me sitting there, so poised and all alone,

Remember, that while my light is on, I'm probably not home.

So true...A poet's light may be on but he is seldom home. Such grace in every line and such effortless rhyming! I am too raw a writer to have suitable words of appreciation for a poet as accomplished as you. It will be a pleasure to read more of your great writing sir.
