Jack & Sally

Jack & Sally

A Poem by styxfan

I miss you, and you don’t realize just how much

The time that’s passed has been f*****g unbearable

I’ve used this emptiness like a worn out crutch

Made out of wood that splinters something terrible

Shards of paint and oak that line my hands like a glove

It reminds me why I’m something you could never love

A lost soul, searching for a partner to grow old with

As damaged as he is, he cares nothing of himself

I wish only good things for you in your life

Don’t believe that you’re anything less than perfect

In my eyes, there’s not a single imperfection in you

Those stitches may be frayed but to me they look brand new

Any man would be lucky to call you his wife

She has no clue what goes on inside his head

That every night, it breaks because it feels hollow…alone

What it would give to keep her persistently happy

I wish fairy tales were real…

Goodnight

About
I write as an outlet for everything I've gone through over the years. I've found it to be the only thing that helps me let go. With that being said, much of what you see that I write won't be about .. more..
