And I'll Sing You A Lullaby

And I'll Sing You A Lullaby

A Poem by December Blaize

All the broken threads
Drifting in the wild west wind
That roars and gives chase
To dying brown leaves,
Fallen from rotten weathered trees.

All the lost roads
Winding through the valleys
Of wayward spirits
Caged in by solid rock walls,
Reaching up to crying gray clouds.

All the dying embers
Burning into the shadow depths
That consume every light
Of fires forgotten,
Fading to dirty scattered ashes.

All the hollow words
Falling short of honest grace
Saved only for the perfect
Where the lies meet dust,
Filling our throats with deathly burning hate.

About
I'm not someone who likes to give out a lot of information about myself, but I believe this will suffice: I'm no good with words unless they're on paper, and I'm the catalyst of awkward silences. On.. more..
