Brother

The brother I love,
There’s nothing I can do,
My hearts in such pain,
Because I can’t help you,

I want to help,
More than I can say,
But helping yourself,
Is mostly the way,

I’m so limited,
To what I can actually-
Help alleviate,
But your my family,

My love for you,
Runs so deep,
You’re so lost,
It makes my heart weep,

I can’t fix your life,
What you’ve become,
If only you’d persevere,
I know you’ll overcome,

These dark times,
Are behind you,
And ahead of you,
I see it in your eyes..

They make you so blue,

If you’d change your ways,
God could make you new,
If you’d only rely on him,
He would see you through!
