Plastic roses

Plastic roses

A Poem by swati

Waking up

With the hope of starting over

The familiarity of the morning

In some

Desperate and lonesome way

Breeds a new beginning in her heart

She cradles her large heart

All day

Protecting it

From his indifference and words

As much as she can

But she returns

With it bruised and shrunken

To fall asleep

With thoughts of regret and foolishness

But to wake in the morning

With the hope of starting

Over again

This is sad
Emotional abuse can't be seen with the eyes but is felt when no one else is around. I am sorry.
Plastic roses, meaning fake....
interesting
and appealing to the emotions
welcome here.........
