The Beast In Me

The Beast In Me

A Poem by Tarry Franck

As I listen to the rain hitting the tin roof
All I can think about
Is me and you,
In such a short time
How long we have come
When will be the time,
That we meet face to face
And become to enjoy
Each others embrace,
I have the patience to wait
Because good things come to those that do
But I'm falling in a blissful state,
That I can't explain
But in time I know
The beast in me
You will be able to tame.

The expression in this piece leaves one to wander to many places. I can picture an online romance, a long distance relationship and/or a fear of of diving in. Very intuitive to keep the reader in such imagination. I love the expression and the way you had just enough vague description to keep the reader guessing and sending us off into a world where we can draw our our own vivid conclusions. Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work. Please return the favor by reviewing one of my pieces.

And if the beast falls for the beauty of what we cannot help but love, then we are domesticated.

Fasting in love make the love stronger and better. I like the hope and yearning in the words. A perfect ending to a amazing poem for love and hope.
