Woman in blue

Woman in blue

A Poem by terry smith

her cranial uterus
scarred from the
still-born fetus
of daddy's love

she tended to the
worthy-nots
in her garden of
despair

while the ghosts
of a childhood lost
clawed at her insides
& rosary-bleeds
dripped upon
virgin sheets
soiled by their memories

wow, metaphorically brilliant...with such attitude.
love the play on words with "rosary-bleeds_ of course an old catholic boy would appreciate.
and daddy's love which never really came...the childhood she never really got to have because things happened to make her grow up and away, much too quickly.
love this.
am off to read more.
