A Poem by tarah morris

Today,

On July 13th, 2018 at 10:48 A.M.

Me and Mom visited your grave

At the cemetery.

The sight we saw were two white daisies

Growing right by your headstone.

Today,

 marks Eight years, One month

and twenty-one days since you passed away.

My heart and soul could not bear the pain,

You left a family that you touched behind

With sorrow and pain.

Today,

As the years went on,

Things have happened from

Your new grandchildren being born to

More graduation being accomplished.

You passed away without any fear,

You were laid to rest in peace.

Today,

at the grave, there were two white daisies

Growing where your body is buried at.

I could not find these daisies anywhere

Else in the cemetery.

Just buried where your body is buried,

Today,

Seeing these daisies, I know that

It was your way of showing

Me that you are still here with us

Not psychically but spiritually.
