I LOVE YOU TOO

A fictional account of a budding romance.

the memories of that day are still fresh in my heart,
when the beauty was at its best in each and every part.
i remember the sun, setting into the sea,
spreading its crimson arch in glee.
none were there on the shore,
just you, me amd the swift bore,
washing our feet as we walked on the sand,
staring into each other's eyes, hand in hand.
when blew past us, winds soft and cool,
he wondered why silent were we two;
but it was obvious as we only knew,
that the eyes did all the talking and the mouths only few.
when he asked this to the birds on their way home,
they sang him of the love and of the lover's dome.
it was then when you caught my hands tight,
yes, you were blushing and your eyes shining bright.
you came closer to me and caressed through my hair,
you then closed your eyes and said, i love you dear.
i then felt your affectionate lips on mine,
the presence of which has only grown stronger with time.
that day, you didnt give me chance, so today i wrote this poem for you,
only to say, yes, i love you, i love you too!!!
