Bleeding Darkness

Bleeding Darkness

A Poem by therisa

Silence
Beats my heart
Mental tears fall
Upon my ravaged soulscape.

As a knife plunges
Deep into me
Its serrated blade
Tearing apart
My delicate soul
With ease.

Mourning
The tragic lost
Of what could be
And would never be.

Candlelight vigil
For another spark
Of hope extinguished
Before its time.

Knowing
This won't be
The last.

Wondering
Will this ever
End?

Placing my head
Once more
Upon my pillow
Wanting the pain
To disappear.

Stark, visceral pain. This one is tightly spun out with no wasted words.

Thanks, Momzilla. Am feeling rather down, being Trans Day of Remembrance.
