scribbly thoughts

A Poem by L. Fenella
"

Just a poem I wrote for a contest.

"

if only you knew...

where centaurs roam- galloping, pounding, patrolling

where gryphons soar- wheeling, calling, flaming

a prophecy ignored
an oath fulfilled

those are dangerous runes
guard this secret with your life
don't tell them you can fly

a girl who must save her country from itself
three companions who are betrayed by their own
a boy who must defeat himself

a war that never really ended
an uneasy peace that never really began

sword inherited
spells woven
ultimatum given

worlds upon worlds
magicks upon magicks
fates upon fates

if only you knew...

L. Fenella
This was written for a contest. I don't know if that changes anything, but I still like this poem, actually.

This was raw and powerful within itself. It was really beautiful and I love your style of poetry.
