Look What You've Done

Look What You've Done

A Poem by The Dark Passenger
"

inspired by the quote: "SEE THIS SCREAM-IT'S FOR YOU, SEE THIS HURT-IT'S BY YOU, SEE THIS MARK-IT'S FROM YOU"

"

Have you forgotten yet again,

that I'm not fit for shattering.

There's all this hurt you've set alight,

I doubt I'll ever win this fight.

But I've got one trick

left under my sleeve,

to get you back

for breaking me

I'll show a smile,

just one last time,

as you walk in

to find me lying

on the floor lined with blood

too shaken to speak another word

But in my mind, I'll speak and say,

as you watch me in dismay,

hope you think it's funny now

that I'm dead and in the ground

Great ending.
Caught me by surprise. I was expecting the character to get back at him/her but in a predictable manner...through words or perhaps even revenge by murder.

Interesting title as well.
You have my vote.

Ooo... I really like this piece, great job!

I love the emotions that you have placed in it and how it seems to jump off the page with it... It seems to have a wonderful flow to it... Great Job!
