The Cloud, The Dollar and The Moon

The Cloud, The Dollar and The Moon

A Poem by thoryash
"

incoherence abound

"

The cloud that fell behind the tree -
I know it's not like that meant to be
But hear o ye of short attention
Read on without mind matter or tension -
And so i carry on about the cloud
Which fell from above without a shroud;
"It's dead" all of the crowd around it said
"Look how oddly twisted is it's head!"
"Come on it's bound to be like that,
'Coz it's the tail not the head you're looking at!"
Said other; "Mind ye of fickle observance"
Challenged other,"Is so?" said the first, "Then for deliverance
Let's have a toss to decide the loss
And the loser shall have to eat this moss."
So saying he produced a most revolting thing
Of a shocking green that I have never seen
"Agreed" other, thinking not twice,
"All present here are witness to any vice
Should this man attempt to make the toss biased,
And be he punished as long as desired."
Thus said the terms a coin was out,
And chosen was one to be the tosser from the crowd,
"Here goes" cried he as the coin he flung,
All present followed the flight along they whose fates hung.
A long flight was it, long before down it came;
The faces up squinting , the tiptoes became lame -
But lo behold all when it did came down
It fell on none other but the cloud it was bet on;
"That's grave" said all " we cannot hence search
For the coin; who knows on whom the cloud spirit shall perch"
"Let's leave, no use pondering more
On the doubt; best left for the experts who shall come afore"
Went they on their way, never looking back twice;
And for sure it was all really very nice.
Now a question for sure you'll ask
"What was the point of reading this all fools' task?"
To be sure I thought so when I did start to write
With this pen and the pages bought with the dollar I did retrieve
When the cloud moved away ... you know Darjeeling
The blokes never heard the clouds the altitude that bring!
Now who be  and what I get from this blatant piece of s**t
Well I'm here to turn ye all, who read this, lunatic.
