Eulilygize

Eulilygize

A Poem by Tinasha LaRayé
"

For my dead lilies - for holocaust victims - for Haiti victims, for Tulsa riot victims - for pain, for healing...

"

I gaze at the pile

Of death on the window sill

The neatly organized

Wilting lilies

Stacked upon themselves

I cry

In hopes

My salty tears

Would moisten

The dry grave

Revive & Resuscitate

My black thumb’s homicide

Sitting this close to death,

I clearly understand why Jesus wept.
