Oxygen

Oxygen

A Poem by Tyler Collins

Breathe deep as you struggle,

Deeper and deeper, atrophy sets in.

Pull the blue around you,

Fight to break the surface.

Heart beats like terrified animals,

Lungs scream for air.

Panic will not save you,

Nothing will.

Now breathe it in,

Open the floodgates, let it free you.

Hope lost,

Desperation remains.

The fight becomes easier,

Fate is realized.

Fade slow,

Enter the black.
