Tsunami

Tsunami

A Poem by KeelyJane

I'm a sullen girl
   an angry sea at rest
Calm before the storm
as the waves in me regress
Like a Tsunami
   I'm calm right before
Then a tidal wave of emotion
   crashes upon my shore
All out of strength
   I'm sinking more and more
Drowning in my troubles
   They're not puddles anymore

Instability in the area of emotions can have a devastating effect on relationships Keely Jane - one minute you feel you're this person then the next you are that person and those who know you might feel they are walking on eggshells too. A Tsunami was exactly the right way to describe this - learning to cope with such an affliction is a different story. Perhaps you could write about how you would advise someone (like me) how to deal with this problem? Keep writing KJ...

=KeelyJane= I do not want to be the person that gets me mad either. I do not have an off switch! Either, I have to be subdued by a superior force or my supply of fuel or energy has to be cut off. Then I am ok again!
Get me angry, suffer the consequences! People that know me, know when enough is enough. And I know when it is time to leave strange or other company. You are a tsunami and I am a wild rhino.. Glad we know enough to keep each other calm.

This is great KJ, I like the metaphor a lot. The flow and emotional description is excellent. Paints a very believable picture of the sort of person who is normally so composed being rocked by emotion, like a tidal wave. Good job.

I can relate, I hold it all in and let it build up, the really important stuff anyway, then it's kablooey!
