My Fate is Fuzz

My Fate is Fuzz

A Poem by KeelyJane

Take my dreams if you want to

they will meet your demands

lint finds life in pocket

though it had other plans

roll me up and throw away

all I ever was

and I’ll become something more

like my kind always does

take away the stitch of string

through the hole no longer mended

falls fate to its beginning

where circumstance has ended

Thought to be one thing

my fate is like fuzz

it is what it is

not what it once was

I agree with the logic of the above words. I believe fate is our to decide. One right or wrong turn or decision can create a new direction for us. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

That last line knocked it out of the park, really captures the essense of being alive and living in the moment. As well as show how unimportant things are once we are dead. Ag least what i got from it.

There's an endearing musicality in the last four lines. Lovely.

Makes me contemplate what's with belly button lint?

anyway, love the last lines:
fate is like fuzz
it is what it is
not what it once was

I like this ....it puts our life events and direction in a very unique perspective...... what fuzz once was part of, it is no longer as soon as it becomes fuzz......very simplistic, yet effective perspective expressed.

"My fate is like fuzz', interesting analogy! Mine is like a bowling ball on glare ice. Takes some kinda wild inertia to slow it down and get some direction of purpose!

Interesting metaphor and meandering way to describe the changes in life that we encounter that some may call fate.

Fuzz. the shed detritus - thinking of one's path in that manner. That is deep introspection. I feel like that sometimes too.
