My Fate is Fuzz

My Fate is Fuzz

A Poem by KeelyJane

Take my dreams if you want to

they will meet your demands

lint finds life in pocket

though it had other plans

roll me up and throw away

all I ever was

and I’ll become something more

like my kind always does

take away the stitch of string

through the hole no longer mended

falls fate to its beginning

where circumstance has ended

Thought to be one thing

my fate is like fuzz

it is what it is

not what it once was

I agree with the logic of the above words. I believe fate is our to decide. One right or wrong turn or decision can create a new direction for us. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I like the idea of this one...we are always a culmination of events and experiences. We are never what we were or what we are destined to be, rather we simply are what we are in the moment, which is ever changing. Comparing your life to that of pocket lint was quite insightful. I also like the flow of this one, though I wonder if it wouldn't be more effective if broken into stanzas...? Just a thought. Overall, though, I really enjoyed this one, my friend!

A nice poem and please do read it over and over. I think when you write a poem you dont read it so many times and you should always do that. I love your poem all the way.

really strong thoughts, especially the last three lines..."it is what it is / not what it once was."

we are all like that really...life constantly changes, and we along with it...we float like that fuzz, ever changing...

we constantly evolve..hopefully for the better...and if people try to destroy us, we bounce back stronger than ever.

A unique metaphor, and certainly one I can relate to...the fuzz is like the remnants of time, a signal to use the past as motivation rather than resignation...I like this one very much :)

Interesting images conjured here. Lint... the representative of breaking down... of turning and becoming elemental. Perhaps even circular *from ashes....to ashes"
