Rainbow Love

Rainbow Love

A Poem by vincentbals
"

First lyric I've written.

"

I search my way along a dusty road,
Wanting to lay myself down in a field,
Covered with green grass and rainbow flowers
There’s no cold wind, as there was before
Which hits me in the face, and throws me of my path.

I’m on a search, a search for love,
Away from the pain, love used to be
Trying to find new love, as he assumed
To have with me.

Beautiful flowers representing the colors
Of the clothes you used to wear.
Hurting me, with a biting sarcasm.
Destroying all the hope I used to treasure,
But strengthening the power to continue my path.

I’m on a search, a search for love,
Away from the pain, love used to be
Trying to find new love, as he assumed
To have with me.

Dear mother nature, I beg you for once
Lift me up and let me experience the soft air
High in the sky.
I want to look down and see
His body getting smaller each mile we gain
Just the way he used to make me feel

I’m on a search, a search for love,
Away from the pain, love used to be
Trying to find new love, as he assumed
To have with me.

He used to pull me down, day after day
Making me cover myself with depraved leaves
But now, the color of your face whilst I’m above
Made me clear up my mind and forget the past.
You’re the leaf and I’m the flower.

a very nice last line to end it all.
I like this, it's earnest and sincere, and reads well.
