An Ode To Love

An Ode To Love

A Poem by Nate E. Flake (Cösmic Wönder)
"

...this was actually the first poem that I wrote. This poem was possibly writen in August of this year.

"

The beacon of love,

Where of destiny reigns,

Against the just,

Seek not pain,

For beauty can not be tamed,

The field of cloves remind me of you,

To be one with your thoughts is a gift of great virtue,

Time, and time again,

I look back to catch a sweet glimpse of you,

Only to find you staring past me,

I wonder if she noticed,

To be with you is only a fantasy of mine,

For there is a widen gap between reality, and falsehood,

Should I yearn,

Yearn exceedingly for your love.

Seek love...for love can not be tamed either.

Author's Note

Nate E. Flake (Cösmic Wönder)
The movie "The Dead Poet's Society" partially influenced me to write poetry. I started to think one night, and so I came up with this poem. I began to repeat the poem so I wouldnt forget it. I probably had done so until 3:00 that morning and I finally found the sense to write it down so I wouldnt forget. This poem was writen for a girl that I admired, infact it had been the same girl that "My Very Little Love Ballad" had been based on.

wow .. i really like this .. it speaks so commonly to how the unloved poet indeed yearns for a love askew to a line of sight .. but this gives also the magic of love wish and hope that does sometimes occur and is therefore worth every feeling captured in your words .. love it

Wow. Stunning piece. You did a great job expressing yourself here. I enjoy the last line personally. Very Shakespearian and Muse-like. :)

I'd love to see more like this. This is very grand! :)
